Shiloh The title of my book is Shiloh, the author of this book is Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. This book consists of 134 pages. I chose this book because I heard from friends that this is a good book. I know people always say “ Don’t judge a book by its cover” but I did that too.
Marty Preston is an 11-year-old boy that lives with his parents and two little sisters in a four-bedroom house on the hills. Marty loves the woods and animals, and also like going around with his .22 rifle and shooting things. But Marty never shoots at anything moving, or never had the slightest wish. Judd Travers is the other character that I chose. He is dishonest, rude and a very insensitive person. He also beats his dogs. But He talks about kicking his dogs and not feeding them when they misbehave.
Marty was walking in the woods by the old Shiloh School house. Then finds a god while he’s walking and takes him in. But what Marty didn’t know is that it’s Judd Travers dog. So then on the Sunday morning Marty has to give Judd’s dog back, he walks to Judd’s to make a deal. The deal was that if Marty works for Judd long enough to get enough money he can have Shiloh.
Out of five stars (*) I’d give this book three-stars (***). I recommend this book to people who like dogs. I also recommend this to people who like quick reads.
